The Secretary of HHS, Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., just brought back healthy foods and the hope of better health in America. My dream came true!
As someone who lived 35 years in Romania, mostly under communist rule and ate a whole food balance diet with healthy protein and fats, and mostly organic fruits and vegetables full of nutrients from a healthy and rich soil, after living in the US another 22 years and feeling the difference, I can say that this turn of events is the most gratifying thing I have felt in a long time. It’s historical, and it’s worth celebrating. Finally, fraud and evil deeds are being exposed! With a population that is 70% obese and has the highest chronic disease truth has come.
Robert F Kennedy, Jr has just announced this:
“The real food dietary guidelines rest on three pillars: protein, healthy fats, vegetables and fruits, and whole grains.
These guidelines replace the corporate-driven assumptions with common-sense, gold-standard scientific integrity. These new guidelines will revolutionize our nation’s food culture and make America healthy again.
For decades, Americans have grown sicker while healthcare costs have soared. The reason is clear: our government has been lying to us to protect corporate profit-taking, telling us that these food-like substances were beneficial to our health.
Federal policy promoted and subsidized highly processed food and refined carbohydrates and turned a blind eye to the cataclysmic consequences.
Today, the lies stop. The new guidelines recognize that whole, nutrient-dense food is the most effective path to better health and to lowering health care costs.
Protein and healthy fats are essential today, and today we end the 65-year war on saturated fats.
Diets rich in vegetables and fruit reduce the risk of disease much more effectively than medical interventions or pharmaceutical interventions.
Whole grains outperform refined carbohydrates.
Added sugar, especially sugar-sweetened beverages, drive the metabolic disease epidemic in our country, and today our government declares war on added sugar.
Highly processed foods loaded with additives, added sugar, and excess salt damage health, and they should be avoided
As Secretary of Health and Human Services, my message is clear: Eat real food! “
RFK Jr. also said:
“We are going to tell people exactly what’s in their food and whether it’s good for them or bad for them, and then let them make healthy choices.
Wanna have a soda pop and a doughnut? That’s up to you! We live in America. You ought to be able to make those choices, but we are moving right now to move to the front of product labeling, where we’re going to tell people exactly what’s in their food and why, whether it’s good for them or bad for them, and let them make healthy choices. That’s it!”
We have just gotten a 2026 precious gift! The gift of truth about healthy foods and toxic, risky substances, plus action!
The 60+ years of lies about food and nutrition have been exposed. The truth that real food is good for health, as crazy as it may sound, has been announced by our new HHS secretary, RFK Jr. He stayed true to his MAHA desideratum: Make America Healthy Again!
Truth is: we should eat real food!
As health coaches, we learned that eating real food is the pathway to health and that we need to work on changing unhealthy habits and support clients on the road to metabolic and improved health.
As counselors and guides, we learned that healthy fats are those found in nature, not the advertised and promoted vegetable oils extracted from seeds with hexane, deodorized, and colored, which are super high in the pro-inflammatory Omega-6 fatty acids and toxins.
We were told that the hydrogenated oils, the spreadables replacing butter present in all snacks and pastries – Crisco and margarine-type spreads, are the true enemies of health – they contain trans-fats that mess with human metabolism, increasing bad cholesterol, decreasing good cholesterol, increasing the risk of heart disease through inflammation, hurting arteries and organs, over time.
In our nutrition studies, we learned that protein is very important and that fiber and phytonutrients from vegetables, fruits, and whole grains are indispensable for a healthy body and gut microbiome, and for protecting the body against oxidation, among other vital benefits.
However, the mainstream allopathic medicine kept saying the opposite. We learned that doctors did not take any Nutrition courses in medical school. Not their fault, the system’s fault! Was it intentional?
For example, an endocrinologist said eggs are bad for you, and no shrimp, lobster, or seafood, please, because they are high in cholesterol!
We know that only 20% of cholesterol comes from animal-based foods; the rest is produced by the liver. Cholesterol is essential for human health, cell membranes, sex and adrenal hormones, vitamin D production, bile acid production, and the brain. LDL, considered bad (specifically APO B), carries cholesterol to cells, while HDL, considered good, removes excess cholesterol. The body regulates cholesterol homeostasis, and we benefit from a diet that contains whole foods, fiber, and good fats. We should not fear cholesterol-rich foods if we consume them in moderation.
How about the choline in eggs that plays a key role in various body functions – 147 mg/egg covering 25-38 of the recommended daily intake for adults.
How about the precious antiviral zinc from the seafood, the protein, omega-3, and more?
1 large egg = 6 g protein plus significant amounts of Vitamins A, D, E, K, B1 (Thiamin), B2, Riboflavin, B5 (Pantothenic acid), B6, B9 (folate), and B12!
Per NIH.gov, two eggs per day cover 10-30% of daily vitamin needs!
That same endocrinologist recommended skim milk (low-fat, high sugar that replaces the fat), no butter (one of the richest sources of butyrate (butyric acid), a primary energy source for colon cells and a healthy gut lining. Butyrate comes in small amounts from butter; the highest levels are produced by our gut microbiome through the fermentation of dietary fiber.
How do we get dietary fiber if we habitually consume white bread, snacks, fast foods, and stay away from veggies and fruits?
Constipation and Diverticulitis are very common, and so are the leaky gut, SIBO, and autoimmune diseases – all caused by the lies and the poor food quality intake that destroyed our gut microbiome, gut lining, and all.
No bread! Not even the whole wheat with nuts and seeds?
No potatoes or rice? Brown rice is a whole food that is full of fiber, good vitamins, and minerals, and so are potatoes.
There are so many myths that are being fact-checked at this point.
Outdated nutrition science and guidelines that destroyed lives!
Everything I said, I heard personally from a family member’s endocrinologist during checkups. He has stayed
We must work hard to reverse this indoctrination!
Eat like your ancestors: real foods that grow in the ground, on the ground and in the trees. Animal food in moderation.
Refuse the processed foods – meant to last for years on the shelves, laced with lab-made synthetic vitamins and chemical additives and colorants to make them desirable and addictive.
These were promoted not because they are good for you, but for financial gain.
The sicker the people, the higher the income for the institutions that profited from people getting and being sick.
Real food consumption can treat and prevent disease better than pharmacological interventions!
Wow! What a great gift of true knowledge!
This is a good start! I believe we will get more great news as time passes. Perhaps a good cancer treatment!
